We regret that at this time Alexandria House is not able to accept any used donations.
We are closely following CDC and local Los Angeles health and safety guidelines. In addition, we are beginning construction on our green house that was damaged by the fire. During these months of repairs, we do not have room for storage. Please check back here and follow our social media pages for up-to-date information about donations.
Meanwhile, we suggest the following organizations for your gently-used donations: The Council Shop a project of the National Council of Jewish Women, and Project Ropa, an organization that provides clothes and mobile shower locations to people in need.
If you have furniture to donate, we recommend Step Up on Second. They provide a variety of services from permanent supportive housing to workforce development to the homeless population in Los Angeles and throughout the country. Please reach out to [email protected] to coordinate your donation.
In the past, your donations went directly to our current and past residents and then are sold at our monthly thrift sale to fund our neighborhood programs. Since we aren't holding thrift sales these days, our new partnership with LuxAnthropy is one way you can still help us fund these much-needed programs! See the flyer below for more information then contact [email protected] to get started.
