Help us Renovate the Kenmore Building
Located immediately behind our two existing shelters is an apartment building owned by the Immaculate Heart Community. The location makes it an ideal addition to the Alexandria House Community. In order to expand our important work, we are embarking on a capital campaign with a goal of raising 12 million dollars to purchase and renovate the building.
This opportunity allows us to provide an additional 39 units of low-cost, permanent supportive housing to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
As of January 2022, we've raised the 9 million dollars to buy the Kenmore Apartment Building!! By all measures, this was an incredible feat achieved by our development team in just a few months. The sprint is done but the race is not yet over.
We still need to raise approximately 3 million dollars for renovation costs. Please consider making a donation today to get us to the finish line!
